Travel is personal. That belief has shaped this business from the day we opened our doors in Durban’s Upper Highway community. We are not a call centre and we are not an anonymous booking engine — we are a tight-knit, owner-operated agency that still answers the phone, still cares about the detail, and still stands behind every itinerary.

Over the years we have grown from Harvey World Travel Highway into a proud member of the XL Travel Group, with IATA and ASATA accreditation and consultants working online across South Africa. Technology helps us move faster; people still make the difference.

Alongside me, my husband John Turner brings rare depth to Southern Africa travel — as a historian, bird specialist and safari guide. Whether you are planning a once-in-a-lifetime safari, a family holiday, corporate travel or NGO logistics, my commitment is simple: honest advice, preferred partner rates, and care that continues long after you board the flight.

XL Highway Travel began in 1998 as a community travel agency in Durban’s Upper Highway area — first known as Harvey World Travel Highway. For more than two decades we have helped South African families, businesses and organisations travel with confidence.

Today we trade as New Heights CC 1208 T/A XL Highway Travel, a member of the XL Travel Group. That group strength gives our clients preferred rates with airlines, hotels, car hire, tours and cruises — while we keep the personal, owner-led service that Brigitte built our reputation on.

Our consultants work remotely across South Africa. You can reach us online, by phone or WhatsApp. Face-to-face meetings are by appointment only — efficient for you, flexible for us, without losing the human relationship.
