New Heights CC 1208 T/A XL Highway Travel — Terms and Conditions of Business (Revised March 2026).
Entity: New Heights CC 1208 T/A XL Highway Travel (“XL Highway Travel”).
XL Highway Travel is an intermediary as defined in the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008 and carries on business under the Code of Conduct as stipulated by the Association of South African Travel Agents (ASATA). We provide clients with travel and/or other services on behalf of principals and/or other agents engaged in, or associated with, the travel industry — including airlines, tour operators, hotels, shipping companies, car hire and other providers of air, land, sea or other travel arrangements (collectively “Third Party Service Providers”).
1. Role as intermediary
Unless otherwise stated in writing, we act as an agent for Third Party Service Providers. Contracts for travel services are between you and the relevant provider. Their terms, conditions and limitations (including cancellation, change and liability rules) apply.
2. Bookings & payment
Quotations are subject to availability and may change until fully paid and ticketed/confirmed. Deposits, final balances and payment deadlines will be advised at booking. Non-payment may result in cancellation without refund of deposits already paid to suppliers.
3. Travel documents & requirements
You are responsible for ensuring valid passports, visas, health requirements, travel insurance and compliance with entry rules for all destinations on your itinerary. We provide guidance in good faith but do not accept liability for refused boarding or entry.
Travellers entering or leaving South Africa must submit a SARS online traveller declaration before travel (required from 1 July 2026). Declare goods, currency and related items, including for children travelling with you. Complete it on the SARS Traveller Management System and keep the email confirmation for customs.

4. Changes, cancellations & refunds
Supplier rules govern changes and cancellations. Fees may apply from both the supplier and our agency. Refunds, if any, are subject to supplier policy and processing times.
5. Insurance
We strongly recommend comprehensive travel insurance covering cancellation, medical emergencies, evacuation and personal liability. Please ask us for options suited to your trip.
6. Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, our liability is limited as set out in our full terms and ASATA guidelines. We are not liable for acts, omissions, delays or insolvency of Third Party Service Providers, force majeure, or circumstances beyond our reasonable control.
